My name is Kevin, I like to learn new stuff and most of the time I break it in the process. I do tend to create some pretty cool things too though.

This blog is where I post about whatever I’m working on. Mostly infrastructure, self-hosting and whatever technical rabbit hole I’ve fallen into that week. Sometimes I post personal things too. Posts may be short or long, depends on how interesting the problem was.

What I do⌗

I run my own infrastructure. A TrueNAS storage server, a Hetzner cloud box and a bunch of Docker containers. I self-host things like Nextcloud, Home Assistant and Plex, plus whatever else seemed like a good idea at the time. I’ve migrated from Proxmox to TrueNAS Scale, killed more Seagate Skyhawk drives than I care to admit and built a wireless volume knob for my Denon AVR because remotes don’t have tactile response.

By day I manage a pile of projects, mostly web infrastructure and internal systems.
